So the Anza’iyyah form is the essence of radiance and shadow, and it is that which did not change in ancient ages nor in what occurs of times. His outer is the Anza’iyyah form, and his inner is the Ma’nawiyyah, and that form is the primal matter of matters, doer of deeds and foundation of movements, cause of every cause, nothing causes it, and none knows what it is except it. It is necessary to know O Mufaddal that the Anza’iyyah form, which said: my outer is leadership and guardianship, and my inner is unseen not perceived, is not Creator’s totality nor the Creator other than it; rather he is it as affirmation and creation, and vision and certainty, not he is it collectively nor as a whole, nor confinement nor encompassing.

So I said: my lord, increase me explanation, for I knew from your grace and blessing what I fall short with from some description of your attributes my lord. So he said: O Mufaddal, ask about what you loved. So I said: my lord, that form which was seen upon the pulpits, calling from itself to its Ma’nawiyyah Self, and declaring the Divinity, you have said to me that it is not Creator’s totality nor Creator other than it. So how can I have knowledge of this matter?
