Jabir said: 'While I was hearing from my Master his explanation and exhortations, I was marvelling at heads whose bodies had been eaten, whose skins had been shredded, and whose bones had been broken—how they gathered into a house, and then I called them and they answered, and there appeared in them clearly all that my Master had attributed and described.'

Then my Master—may His Might be exalted—said: 'O Jabir, ask them how long they have been recurring in this punishment, tasting this slaughter, butchering, and cooking.'

So I turned toward them questioning them, and they said: 'O Jabir, who can reach the count of what you mentioned and asked about? Or who can perceive its description or endure its burden and explanation? Even if the creations gathered to agree upon the knowledge of that and its completeness, they would be incapable of it, and they would not reach its number or description.' I said: 'O my Master, the punishment has reached completion in them, the distance of the journey has become far for them, the term has become long for them, and the punishment has been doubled upon them.'"

Then He—may His Might be exalted—said: "O Jabir, what remains is greater, bigger, and longer in duration; and there is no end to the punishment in which I have placed them.
