Furthermore, Allah—Mighty and Majestic—transferred them into [different] forms, made them known through [certain] reputations, and marked them with signs that He clarified and established within them. He warned against them, instilled fear [of them], urged avoidance of them, turned away from them, and described them to His guardians, and He exposed them to His chosen ones in [various] forms, attributes, types, and crafts which He clarified and condemned. He persisted in prohibiting them as an excuse [to the creation] and a warning; thus, whoever inhabits their state shall not prosper, whoever is known by them shall not be accepted, and whoever possesses their characteristics shall not be safe. Allah only made them known, struck parables with them, and described them so that the believers would be cautious of them; none inclines toward them except the bewitched. For they manifest themselves through desire, alter the seeker's quest, find solace in deception, and approach them [the believers] through [false] pretexts—just as their previous actions dictated—and so that their tyranny may increase at every moment and their disbelief at every time, alongside the succession of punishment upon them and its doubling within them. They have neither a diversion nor an escape from that.
