And at the gate of His mercy and the guardian of the creation is the Most Radiant Light, the Most Luminous Lamp, the Gate of Gates, the Causer of Causes, the Trustworthy Spirit, the Manifest Water, the Proof for the seekers, and the watering place for those who arrive. The Spring of Eternal Life, the distributor of the creation's sustenance, the destroyer of tyrants through eclipsing, and the annihilator of dwellings through tremors. The possessor of sound opinions, clear paths, radiant evidences, fragrant proofs, praised ways, witnessed scenes, intended guidances, and inherited sciences. The arranger of ranks, the revealer of wonders, the originator of clouds, and the illuminator of stars. The Greatest Gate (al-Bab al-A'zam), the pure flowing water (Salsal), and the one through whom the Gnostic scholar seeks means.

And [blessings be] upon the orphans of his mercy, the stars of his creation, the luminous stars, the guides of creation in every faith, the foremost ones in the Day of Shadows (Yawm al-Azilla), the brilliant lights in the depths of darkness, the shining stars in the black gloom, and the saviors of creation from confusion and blindness.

The first of them, the highest, the nearest, and the closest is the Greatest Orphan (al-Yatim al-Akbar), the most radiant planet, the most fragrant musk, the most luminous light, and the brightest lamp; the Greatest Alif: Al-Miqdad bin 'Umar bin 'Uthman bin al-Aswad al-Kindi.
