When each came out, my Master—may His Might be exalted—said: "Stay as you are with Jabir until your companions are complete." So they stood by my side. The group continued to enter one by one, each coming out with a massive sheep in his hand. The number of the assembly present with my Master was seventy men. When the group was complete, my Master—may His Might be exalted—said: "Lay them down on their sides, and let their faces be facing one another. Then place the blades upon their throats, and tread with your feet upon their cheeks and bellies. Then pass the blades [over the throats] with a single stroke, so that the witnessing (al-‘Iyan) is complete for you, that the punishment may be more apparent, and your reward and recompense may be perfected. And as you pass the blades over their necks, mention your Pre-eternal (Azal) Master, and follow that by mentioning the Ancient One (Qadim), and include Ja‘far ibn Muhammad in your symbolic reference (Ishara) during the mention. Say: "This is a sacrifice that Allah has commanded and brought into existence for them. O Allah, our Master, accept it from us with the clearest acceptance, just as You accepted the sacrifice of Your believing guardians and Your sent messengers. Return the structures (Hayakil) of the deniers to Your permanent punishment and Your painful exemplary chastisement.
