Then my Master—may His Might be exalted—turned toward me and toward the group and said: "Are you compliant with what I have commanded and desirous of that which I have mentioned?" I said, and the group said: "Yes, O our Master; we are hearing, obeying, responding, and hastening. We shall go forth to offer near-offerings, to sacrifice, to celebrate, to maintain ties, and to act with righteousness, fulfilling all that You have commanded and presented. For You have indeed favored us with the knowledge of that which we did not know, and You have inspired us with a desire through which You guided us to our salvation and deliverance, as Your command is the irrevocable one, and Your obligation and Your judgment are justice itself."

So my Master—may His Might be exalted—said: "This is a day that shall be for you in other than this day [in the future]. When you witness its like, be as I have commanded and do as I have done, and bring near through it those whom you love from your private circles, just as your Master brought you near through it, so that He may complete for you what you have been promised. As for today, then Ja‘far ibn Muhammad is most entitled to you, the most gathering of your ranks, and the swiftest to accept your sacrifice (Qurban); thereby, you are higher in degree, loftier in station, and greater in rank."
