I have sought nearness to You through him as You commanded, and I have presented him so that he may be [a credit] for me with You when I slaughter him, shed his blood, eat his meat, break his bones, and thereby let him taste Your punishment by my hand and Your exemplary punishment through my possession of him; for You have given me ownership over his bondage and prohibited me from his manumission. I do this seeking Your satisfaction and an increase of Your giving; so accept this from Your servant and Your guardian, and complete for him what You have enabled him of Your Gnosis, the acknowledgement of You, and the steadfastness upon Your path which Your Messenger affirmed when he said: {Say, 'This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me'} ¹ .

I am among those who followed, obeyed, and heard the call and responded."

"O Allah, O my Master, protect me from doubts and make me a slaughterer and not the one slaughtered; make me a consumer and not the one consumed. Grant me the coolness of Your Paradise—which is Your Gnosis—and do not let me taste the heat of Your Fire—which is Your Metempsychosis (Musukhiyyah) through which You lead those who deny You.
