Mention of the Great Thursday

And it is among the Nowruzian Festivals, and it is Thursday, the middle of the month of Nisan (April).

And regarding what is obligatory of action and charity in it, [it is] traced up with authentic chains to Abu Muhammad Abdallah ibn Muhammad Al-Jannan Al-Junbalani, the Worshiper, the Ascetic, known as Al-Farisi.

He said: My Master and my Liege, the Orphan of the Religion of Allah (Yatim Din Allah), Muhammad ibn Jundub, told me.

He said: My Master, the Gate of Guidance and Faith, the Light of Sabaoth (Nur Asba'ut), the Master Abu Shu'ayb Muhammad ibn Nusayr, to him belongs submission, told me:

"O Muhammad ibn Jundub, I am indeed imposing a duty upon you, and I make it a covenant and a pact between me and you. I take from you the covenant and the pact, and I mandate the continuation of that until the Known Day and the Destined Time (Al-Waqt Al-Maqhum)."

Muhammad ibn Jundub said: "And what is that, O my Master?"
