And it was narrated from Al-Mufaddal ibn Umar, to him belongs submission, that he said: As-Sadiq, may His Might be exalted, said:

"Indeed, the Meaning (Al-Ma'na), may His Might be exalted, used to Manifest (yazharu) in the time of the Persians twice in every year: at the passing of heat into cold, and the passing of cold into heat.

So they named the passing of cold into heat Nowruz, and they named the passing of heat into cold Mihrajan. Thus, they took them as two festivals (Eids) for themselves.

And the Greatest Meaning (Al-Ma'na Al-Akbar), when He Manifested in all the Cycles (Akwar), Manifested with eating and drinking. From this, the Persians observed eating and drinking during these two festivals.

Al-Mufaddal said: 'Only those of understanding will remember.'"

And it—Nowruz—is the fourth day of April in every year, forever.

And the day of Mihrajan is the sixteenth of October in every year, forever.
