The Supplication of the Month of Ramadan

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

O Allah, I ask You, O 'Ali, O One, O Commander of the Faithful, O Unique, O Eternal Refuge, O Owner of the Kingdom and Eternity, O He who has neither father nor son, and there is none co-equal to Him. O Allah, my Master, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, who confesses the inward of Your secret and the hidden of Your matter, who permits what You have permitted and forbids what You have forbidden, and who refrains from what You have prohibited, outwardly and inwardly, in obedience, faith, satisfaction, and submission to You, to Your Name, and to Your Gate.

O Allah, I disassociate myself before You from those who deny You, associate others with You, worship other than You, reject the inward [truth] of this month, and deny the concealed and hidden nature of this matter—those who returned under the ruinous rags and the destructive words. O Allah, I have opposed them in word and deed. O Allah, I ask You for the completeness of guidance, sufficiency, and care, by Your favor, grace, and generosity. I ask You for the fulfillment of guidance, the completion of the veil, and the perfection of Gnosis (Ma‘rifah) for me and for all my believing and knowing brothers; indeed, You are over all things Powerful, O 'Ali, O Great. And you prostrate after the supplication.
