Another Report Regarding the Inner Reality (Batin) of Nowruz

It is what Abu Abdallah Al-Husayn, known as Al-Jalili, narrated; he said: Sa'd Al-A'sar told us, from Mahmud Al-Warraq, from Ishaq ibn Sadaqa, from Al-Wathiqi—and his name is Al-Harith ibn Nawfal—from Muhammad ibn Sinan, peace be upon him, from Al-Mufaddal ibn Umar, peace be upon him, who said:

As-Sadiq, may His Might be exalted, said: "O Mufaddal, indeed the day of Nowruz has a Batin (inner reality) deeper than what I explained to you."

I said: "O my Master, then make Your servant understand that."

He, may His Might be exalted, said: "O Mufaddal, indeed Allah, Majestic is His Name, when He created the Adam of Adams (Adam al-Adam) and commanded the angels to prostrate to him, they prostrated. And He commanded Iblis to prostrate, but he refused and was arrogant, he and his offspring.

And the believers at that time were luminous bodies (Abdanan Nuraniyya) without spirits. And Iblis and his offspring used to enter into those bodies and marvel at their light and [at] their own darkness, while Iblis did not know the reason for that.
