center, leaning once to the East and once to the West. Following it came rain of great flow and abundant drops, by which He made the lands fertile and revived the servants.

And the fire in which the Mim—I mean Muhammad, may His Might be exalted—was, consumed the group that disbelieved and refused to return to Allah, Majestic is His Name, and the devils that used to speak in the hideous figures.

So Allah, Majestic is His Name, made it from that time—for all people, Arabs and Non-Arabs, Muslims, Jews, Christians, and Magi—a day of joy, happiness, eating, and drinking.

Thus, the kindling of fire on the night of Nowruz is a similitude (Mathal) of the fire in which the Mim, may His Might be exalted, was. And the pouring of water on Nowruz is a similitude of the rain with which they were watered on that day. And the Samajat (Masks/Deformed figures) And the figures (Ashbah) made in it are a similitude (Mathal) of the devils that used to appear in deformed images, intending by that to terrorize the Mim and the Sin.

And the Samajat (Masks/Ugly figures) [cast] in the fire on the day of Nowruz are a similitude of the burning of the devils and the disbelievers from the group that did not believe in the Persian Dome.
