I understood what they were saying, and I replied to them in Arabic, and they understood what I said. Then I entered the cave and saw in its center a great bed (Sarir) barred with bars of gold and silver. On its four corners were four pearls, and the cave was illuminated by them. Upon the bed was a designated man, wearing clothes that had a shine more intense than the glitter of swords. I said to myself: 'A dead man; how do I speak to him?'

Then I remembered my Master's reviving of the dead in Sarsar. So I went out to a well (Qalib) that was there, scooped a scoop [of water] with my hand, entered the cave, and sprinkled the water on the man. He sat up straight.

He said: 'O Muhammad ibn Nusayr, you have delayed me. Hand over the wreath.'

He took it, placed it on his head, took a step, went out the door of the cave, and vanished from my sight.

I remained standing in my place, not doubting that my Master had inflicted upon me the trial I was in, and that He wanted to sequester (yughayyibani) me here. While I was in that state, behold, he was hovering in the sky over me, wearing an anemone-red robe (Hulla Shaqa'iqiyya) I had seen on my Master on that day. He handed me the wreath and intended to lie down in his first form.
