He favored them when He called them.

And He drew them near and conversed intimately (Najahum) with them

and He gave to them and gladdened them

[With] His gifts; and He entrusted them

with the rein of Manifestation (al-Badw) and Existence (al-Kawn)

And the action of the Flowing World (al-‘Alam al-Jari)

And from them is the vastness of the Chair (al-Kursi)

and the Throne which was firmly established.

And [they are] the Face of Allah, Possessor of Holiness;

and the explanation of the "Side" (al-Janb) and the "Self" (an-Nafs).

And the overflow of the gushing springs

and the Ear that hears

whatever He wills, by a measure.
