Our Master Al-Khasibi, may Allah sanctify his spirit, clarified that in his Epistle (Risala) and explained it in his Discourse (Maqala), saying in the context:

"And Adam became absent, and Anosh appeared; so the Meaning (Al-Ma'na)—who is Seth—removed him (azalahu), and appeared in the likeness of his image..." up to his saying:

"And Adam appeared in Alexander, who is Dhu al-Qarnayn; so the Meaning (Al-Ma'na)—who is Daniel—removed him, and appeared in the likeness of his image."

And Adam manifested as Ardashir ibn Babak the Persian in the Persian Dome (Al-Qubba Al-Farisiyya), and he is the first of the Persian Chosroes Kings. So the Meaning (Al-Ma'na)—who is Dhu al-Qarnayn—removed him (azalahu), and appeared in the likeness of his image.

And Adam manifested as Sabur (Shapur) ibn Ardashir, so the Meaning—who is Ardashir—removed him, and appeared in the likeness of his image.

And Adam manifested in the House of the Arabs in Lu'ayy ibn Ghalib. He was named Lu'ayy only because he turned (lawa) the Lights from the land of Persia to the land of Hijaz, for the Manifestation of the Meaning (Al-Ma'na), the Name (Al-Ism), and the Gate (Al-Bab) within it.
