He sat up straight and said to me: "O Muhammad ibn Nusayr, you delayed me from the presence of my Master by your answering back and by the thought you withheld in yourself, until your Master facilitated for you the meeting with the Indian. So, hand over the wreath."

I said to him: "He commanded me to revive you and return to Him."

He said: "You will return to Him, but do not return holding me back (la tarji' 'alayya) in the time of closeness to the meeting of the Master."

So I intended [to take] the wreath and gave it to him. He placed it on his head and said at the top of his voice, while rushing: "The presence of my Master in Al-Askar!"

And he rose with his voice and his saying. He had barely reached the door of the cave before he vanished from my sight. I did not know if he ascended to the sky or descended into the earth.

I was astounded and remained standing at the door of the cave, seeking him with my sight, but I did not see him. And suddenly, creatures from India surrounded me, addressing me in the Indian language, and I replied to them in Arabic. I understood what they said in Indian, and they understood what I said in Arabic.
