by the four Gospels; by the offering of Thursday; by the Batin (inner reality) of the Night of Sanctification. By the totality of these oaths, and Your Great Names, and Your upright Gates (Abwab), and the noble orphans (Aytam) of Your religion; by the ranks of Your Holiness and the locus of Your intimacy.

I seek means (Tawassul) to You through them, O my Master, that You draw me closer to Your obedience, and grant me a sanctuary beneath the shade of Your sufficiency. We seek means and we desire to attain from You what we hope and ask for: the completion of Your mercy upon us, Your forgiveness for our faults, and that You erase our sins, bestow Your blessing upon us, and be generous with Your benevolence toward us, and Your favor and gratitude upon us and upon all our believing brethren, those present and those absent. O Ali, O Great One.

I ask You, O Allah, O Prince of the Bees (Amir al-Nahl), O He who is in Heaven a God (Ilah), and on Earth an Imam; through You—for there is nothing greater than You—that You make us reach the perfection of Knowledge (Ma'rifa) in every Cycle (Kawr) and Period (Dawr). And that You inspire us with Your guidance, and establish us firmly on following Your command.
