I ask You, O Allah, O my Master, O Prince of the Bees (Amir al-Nahl), by the baptism of bodies, by the Batin (inner reality) of the Night of the Nativity, and by what You revealed in Holiness (Al-Quds) of honor.

And through which You purified the hearts of Your Awliya from the burden; by the Gospel (Injil) and he who recited it; and by the Salabut (Crucifixion/Cross) and He who ascended upon it 1 ; and by the killing and He who ransomed him.

Footnotes

1Ascended upon it: Meaning he rose by it and elevated it. The Cross here is a symbol and a sign in the Batin (esoteric). It does not refer to the One who was crucified upon it (the Adversary), but rather it is a sign pointing to the House of the Lord, just as the Kaaba is a sign of the House of the Lord, even if idols were hung upon it at one time. The true House of the Lord is the Name for the Meaning (Ma'na); if it is just a name, or a name for other than the Meaning, then it is the locus of polytheism.
