A Light separated from its source, so it returned to its homeland; thus his Manifestation (Zuhur) was Roman, and his speech was Jacobite.

I ask You, O Allah, O my Master, by the Feast (Al-Fash), by the Sallaq 1 , by the Sanctity and the Illumination, by the Represented Luminous Spirit from Maryam the Luminous, the Pure, the Chaste; nourished from the Palm trees, purified by the water of Salsabil; distinguished with bounties, whose mention is hidden in the Heaven. Her son is the wanderer in space, raised to the Heights.

He manifested as Nasut (humanity), and was hidden as Lahut (divinity). He spoke Roman, and was silent Jacobite, and spoke Masturi (Inscribed) 2 . He appeared as a subject (Marbub), and lived sought after; he ascended veiled, and became absent crucified.

Everyone sees him from where he stands, according to what he deserves of the purity of his substance (Jawhar) and the goodness of his pleasant appearance, or according to what he deserves of his darkness and turbidity.

Footnotes
