The Supplication of the Night of the Nativity
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
O Allah, O my Master, You are the High, the Great, the One, the Unique, the Eternal Refuge. You neither begot nor were begotten, and there is none comparable unto You. You manifested in this night Your Name, Your Self (Nafs), Your Veil (Hijab), and Your Throne, which You established over all Your creation through childhood [Infancy] in the image of Your servants. And he is greater than all that is in Your Kingdom, and the highest of them with You; to clarify to them Your Pre-eternity and Your Divinity (Lahut), and to manifest upon them with Your Proof (Hujjah), to remind those who were guided by Your Lordship at the time of the call of Your invitation, by Your Self and by Your Essence.
So Blessed are You, O Allah; how Great You are as a Great One, how Wise You are as a Wise One, and how Generous You are as a Generous One. By Your favor upon all Your creation, and by Your kindness, You remind them of Your Manifestations (Zuhurat) in all Your Cycles (Akwar) and Periods (Adwar), in every unveiling (Kashf), time, era, and moment. A mercy from You to whom the best [reward] has preceded from You, and for whom You have honored the abode.
