And for him who is absent from it [physically] but is Gnostic of it and yearns toward it in his vigil, he is as one who has attended it. Therefore, spread its merit among the believers.'"
"Then He said: 'O Salman, take the scrolls that are before Me and scatter them upon these creatures, that each one may take his scroll and act according to what is in it.' I stretched my hand toward the scrolls and grasped them; by Allah, not a single one remained upon the throne, even though I knew they were loads for countless camels! I marveled at that. Then I scattered them, and they spread between the West and the East, falling upon those creatures such that each one of them received a scroll, which they took in their hands. No one remained—from the [intelligent] worlds, the beasts, the wild animals, the birds, and the creeping things—but that each had taken one.
Then my Master gestured with His hand, and they all vanished from my sight. He stood upon His feet, and the throne disappeared. Then the mu'adhdhin (caller to prayer) gave the call for prayer in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah—may His Might be glorified. My Master took my hand in His, and said: 'You have awakened in goodness, O Abu Abd Allah.' I replied: 'Through You, O my Master.' He began to walk, speaking with me and asking me about my night, until He entered the mosque just as the prayer was being established. He prayed, and I prayed with His prayer. He then went out toward His house and said to me: 'Be well.'
