He said to me: 'O Abu Abd Allah, I was hearing your voices, but I did not understand anything of it. Is it regarding anything concerning this one who has usurped this affair, and his companion?'

I said: 'It is indeed that.'

While he was speaking to me, the Mosque of Quba appeared to us. We drew near to it, and my Master, the Commander of the Believers—may His Might be glorified—dismounted there, left the mule, and entered the mosque, and we dismounted and we left the two camels kneeling and entered following Him. He prayed the Night Prayer (Salat al-Layl), then turned [to depart], and we exited as He exited. The mule was standing in place, but there was no trace of the two camels.

Qanbar said to me: 'I suspect their owners were sleeping in a part of the mosque, and when they sensed our entry, they rose, departed, mounted their camels, and went away.' I said: 'Perhaps that was so,' while I myself was in certain knowledge regarding the matter of the two camels.

Then the Commander of the Believers—may His Might be glorified—mounted and said: 'Proceed in the security of Allah.' I continued walking alongside Qanbar until we entered Medina. Throughout this time, he kept asking me about what had transpired for me with the Commander of the Believers—may His Might be glorified—and what His discourse with me had been, and I kept saying to him: 'It is as I have already informed you.'
