I arose, eager for that, and performed what my Master, the Commander of the Believers—may His Might be glorified—had commanded me. When I had completed what my Master had instructed, I returned the two daggers to their sheaths.
Then my Master—may His Might be glorified—said to me: 'O Salman, return them to the place from which they were, and from which I brought them out, until a night like this night and a presence like this presence. For they shall have [a fate] like this, in the presence of a Wali (Friend) from among My friends, and by his hand.'
I said: 'O my Master, do not divert this from Salman!' He said: 'It shall be so, O Salman; it is for them, that I may make them taste according to what they [intended] to taste in this place, where they had resolved and intended to act, and to tempt Muhammad [and his companions], and then target the Commander of the Believers. Thus, it is incumbent upon you and upon every Gnostic believer to spend this night joyful and happy, he and his brethren, and to awaken in like manner; for Allah makes His enemy taste His torment therein, and inflicts upon them what He inflicts. He inflicts the like upon all of their party, their supporters, and their soldiers.'
So, I returned the two daggers to where they were, and I replaced the stone over them."
