So, Labbayk (at Your service), O Allah, Labbayk and Sa'dayk (at Your service and aid)—a Labbayk that is Alawiyyah (of Ali), Muhammadiyyah (of Muhammad), Hasaniyyah (of Hasan), Husayniyyah (of Husayn), Alawiyyah (of Ali), Muhammadiyyah (of Muhammad), Ja'fariyyah (of Ja'far), Musawiyyah (of Musa) and the [other] veils as guides unto You—even if You have guided unto Yourself by Yourself, and manifested unto Your creation as [one of] Your creation. Alawiyyah (of Ali), Muhammadiyyah (of Muhammad), Alawiyyah (of Ali), Hasaniyyah (of Hasan). There is no god but You, Lord of the epochs (al-hiqab), the eras (al-akwar), the cycles (al-adwar), the times, and the ages. How many blessings have You bestowed upon servants who disbelieved in You, attributed to You children, the touching of women, and the envy of enemies! They were not satisfied with that until they shed Your blood and attributed to You a grievous killing, and made You taste a wretched death. They set for You a grave and imagined You interred therein; they performed the Ziyarah upon You, claiming that You are buried in it, while in reality they are liars. They intend by that to draw near to You, while You, despite all that, continue to bestow upon them Your provision and grant them of Your grace—by degrees, by respite, by abundance and scarcity, by purification and benevolence. They thought, thereby, that they had attained the reality of Your Oneness (Tawhid), but far be it—nay, how far!—for them to attain You or know You! They are the commoners (al-'awam), the cattle-like, who inclined towards deception, listened to Iblis, leaned toward deficiency and negligence, believed in You, then disbelieved, and denied You after they had known You. Their hearts have thus become hardened, their sights blinded, and their paths effaced, as they did not reflect upon the utterance of the primordial Mim, the Supreme Master and the Most Exalted Veil.
