When our Master made known to us its stature and enlightened us regarding its rank in its majesty and greatness, he explicitly addressed it with what Allah the Exalted mentioned in His Book, which is His saying—Mighty and Majestic is He—: 'During a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind]. On that night is made distinct every precise matter' 1 . And He, the Exalted, said: 'Indeed, We sent it [the Qur'an] down during the Night of Power. And what can make you know what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is, until the emergence of dawn' 2 .

Its interpretation is that the Qadr (Power/Measure) is the Supreme Master Muhammad, and his night is Fatimah—may her might be glorified—and it is the Night of the Middle of Sha'ban. It is incumbent upon all the Gnostics who are upon the Truth (al-'arifun al-muhiqqin) to know it and to implement what they have been commanded [to do] therein. I asked my Master, the trustworthy Sheikh Abu al-Husayn Muhammad ibn Ali al-Jali—may Allah be pleased with him—why Fatimah was named as one of the 'M' (Mim) entities.

The answer was: 'The deniers were weaned (futimu)—i.e., cut off—from her knowledge; and she is the Night of Power, because the Qadr is the Mim, and she is his night and his essence.
