We said: 'May our fathers and mothers be your ransom, O Son of the Messenger of Allah, O our Imam! Has a joy been renewed for the People of the House (Ahl al-Bayt) on this day?' He (peace be upon his mention) said: 'And which day has greater sanctity than this day according to the People of the House? And indeed, my father (may his might be mighty) informed me that Hudhayfah b. al-Yaman entered on a day like this—which is the ninth day of the month of Rabi‘ al-Awwal—upon my grandfather, the Messenger of Allah (may his might be mighty).
Hudhayfah said: 'I saw my Master, the Commander of the Faithful (Amir al-Mu’minin) (may his might be mighty), with his two sons Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn (may their might be mighty), eating with the Messenger of Allah (may his might be mighty). And the Messenger of Allah was smiling in the faces of Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn and saying to them:
Eat! May it be wholesome (Hani’an) for you, upon the blessing of Allah and the blessing of this day and its happiness. For it is the day in which Allah seizes His enemy and the enemy of your grandfather, and answers the supplication of your mother. Eat! For it is the day in which your enemy is killed. And in which Allah accepts the deeds of your Shia and your lovers.
