And they said: "Do you think we will live to see the like of this day, so that we may do in it like the deed of Abu Ayyub? Perhaps we might obtain and reach what he has reached."

Then I said: "O my Master, You are the Most Knowledgeable and the Knower. You witness what I have conveyed on your behalf, and your promise is the truth, so fulfill what You are fulfilling."

Then I said to everyone: "Say Amen to my supplication." So they said: "O God, do so."

Then I heard, and the group heard, a voice from the side of the gathering, aloud, saying: "I have done so, and with honor (Karama)."

I was terrified by that, and everyone was terrified, and some of those in the gathering fainted. And behold, the voice spoke a second time, saying: "Do not be terrified, for indeed I am with you, I hear and I see."

So the terror departed from us, and the fainting spell that had overcome the people passed, and our joy and happiness were completed. And the people departed to their homes, honored.

"And my family, my retinue, and those in my house approached me, rebuking me for my action and that in which I had been excessive. I was rebuffing and scolding them back, and so I spent my night. When morning came and I performed the Dawn prayer (Fajr), suddenly there was a knocker knocking at the door.
