And in it, God raised Idris to a high place. And in it, He destroyed the Companions of the Elephant (Ashab al-Fil). And in it, He destroyed Ad and Thamud. And in it, He exterminated the people of Lot, and in it He overturned their cities, making their high parts their low parts. And in it, Jesus son of Mary revived the dead and healed the blind and the leper.

There is no day belonging to God that is more just than it, nor greater in blessing, joy, or happiness for the believers than it.

And whoever turns away in it from his opponents (Mukhalifin) and busies himself with his brothers, and does not encounter any one of them without shaking his hand, God the Exalted says: "You are truly My servant and My close one (Wali). For you, I have stored what I am bestowing upon you on this day."

So it is obligatory, O Ibn Ayyub, upon every knowing believer on this day to perform the ritual bath (Ghusl) early, wear a clean garment, fumigate himself with the best [incense] he is able to, and to reach the utmost of his capability in [performing] many good deeds.

And [he is] to gather in it those whom he knows of his brothers among the acknowledging, knowing believers. And if it is possible for him to do regarding them the like of what he did for himself regarding clothing, he should do so. Otherwise, he should treat them equally in his food, his drink, and his perfume.
