So submit and surrender, and remove rancor from your hearts and envy from your chests. And exchange gifts in it, and invite one another in it, even if over a morsel or a date. For indeed the merit of that is great on the like of this day. The morsel in it stands in the station of seven hundred morsels in other than it, and likewise the Dirham stands in it in the station of seven hundred Dirhams. So strive in it, and fulfill God fulfills for you when you fulfill. For indeed He does not leave a sin for anyone except that He forgives it, nor a burden except that He removes it, nor a need except that He satisfies it. And He stores his deed for him until it becomes treasured with Him, boasting of it to the people of the Supreme Assembly. He says: "This is a close one (Wali) from My close ones. I made known to him the merit of this day, so he accepted it and hastened towards it seeking My pleasure. And he pleased Me with his deed, and it is a right upon Me that I please him." Then he who fell short, deviating from what he hastened towards, will envy him for that.

Al-Husayn ibn Hamdan al-Khasibi said: Ali ibn Ahmad swore to me: "I did not fall short in the deed which my Master commanded me, and I used to find the speed of the replacement and the hastening of the blessing from my time, from my day, from my Friday [week], and the furthest of it from my month."
