A Second Visitation for the Day of Ashura
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Peace be upon you and upon the Station (al-Maqam). Glory be to You, O You who appeared through the human nature (al-Nasutiyyah) and became veiled through the divine nature (al-Lahutiyyah). O Mine of the Kingdom (al-Malakut), O Ever-Living who does not die. I have come to you as a visitor, aiming [towards you], seeking Your bounty and Your mercy. Glory be to You, God, the High, the Great.
O God, indeed I ask You by the pre-eternity of Your Oneness and the establishment of Your Proof (Hujjah) which does not cease from the souls of the knowing believers, that You bless Your Prophet Muhammad, who manifested the Proof and established the Rank in the souls of the monotheists for You. O First in His Firstness, and O Last in His Lastness.
O God, indeed I ask You to suffice me the burden of provisions and [protect me from] every ignorant person who was ignorant of Your knowledge. I have indeed come to You as a visitor, aiming towards Your door, seeking Your mercy.
