O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. O Lord! O Master! O Knower of the secret and the private counsel, and what was, and what will be before it comes to be. You commanded supplication and undertook to answer, so You said, Exalted are You: {And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided} ¹ .

Then You reproached peoples in Your Noble Book, so You said to them: {Invoke those you claim [as deities] besides Him, for they do not possess the [ability for] removal of adversity from you or [for its] transfer} ² .

So we do not know a Lord other than You that we may call upon, nor a god other than You that we may hope in, nor a Name other than Muhammad and his Persons (Ashkhas), so we seek means of approach to You through them. For they are Your Most Beautiful Names and Your Supreme Examples, for whom You, O my Master, are a Meaning (Ma'na), and they are Names for You. And You have said, Exalted are You: {And to God belong the Most Beautiful Names, so call upon Him by them}.
