Until when the enemies of the Prophet came to

His place, they found therein a Lion waiting for them.

So they despaired and went on seeking him out

Tracking the traces of the Messenger of Allah, wherever he went.

Until when they stood at the cave, they did not find

Anything but a pigeon hovering over its chicks.

And the spider, having stretched out its webs

So their speaker said: "You have not caught anyone."

"For had they entered here, the spiders’ [webs] would not

Remain woven, and you would have seen the birds flee."

"Do you not see the spider weaving the thread,

And then the pigeon, with beautiful voice, has cooed?"

So they believed him and turned back returning, while

They died in their rage from what they saw, in sorrow.

And he spent the night in the chamber of the Chosen One,

And the Siddiq (The Truthful) spent the night guarding him diligently.
