From upon Time, a Lord Who built the time

And a Unique One Who is hidden from the opposites (al-Addad)

That is a perpetual Muhammad who surpassed the people

Toward the grace by the gathering of the intent

This, my brother—may I be your ransom—is some of what we have transmitted as knowledge in this chapter. It indicates that the days and nights are the evidences (al-Adilla) in the "Year of Times" by which the Six Epiphanies occurred. In every age and time, there is one whom the Truth approves, manifesting through him. And the Originator (Fatir) of Friday—which is the day in which the Message, Prophethood, Silence, Speech, Forbearance, Wrath, Reward, Punishment, Repentance, and Spirituality are gathered. We increase it in clarification and disclosure for the sake of your "returning place" (Mathabataka) 1 , that the discourse may be established by it, in you; and from Allah we seek aid.

Footnotes

1Mathaba: A house, place, or refuge to which one returns time after time; a gathering and a residence. In another manuscript: "To attain your reward (Mathubataka)."
