We have mended you after the clipping of a wing

So ascend, by a favor toward us, ascend

Forever, and be formed from us as a being

And from the Light, a likeness is deserved

Jabir said: The Indian man went out, his face—unlike how we knew it—having become radiant and shimmering, to the outside of the house. I saw Kathir ibn Abi Zalima intercept him and say to him: "From whence have you come, O brother of the Mubadhan? 1 " He said to him: "From Sunday (Yawm al-Ahad)." He said to him: "And what is Sunday, may Allah increase you in insight?" He said: "One by the One (Ahad bi-Wahid), and an Inward (Batin) for a witness 2 ; for the witness is the speech of that which he is through; so when harm touches you, unto Him you are returned." Then he turned away, dripping with sweat, while saying:

O Kathir, people have triumphed through the Sabbath

They knew him by one of the units (Ahad)
