He realized these intellects in their souls and made their senses subservient to them—confirmed through hearing, sight, thoughts, reflections, and minds. By these, He bound them to His proof, showed them His path, and made them speak of what they witnessed with fluent tongues, through what He provided of His power and wisdom. He made it clear to them, "so that those who were to perish might perish upon evidence, and those who were to live might live upon evidence. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing" 1 .
He is a Witness, an Expert. Allah—Exalted and Sublime—has gathered for you, O assembly of believers, two great and magnificent Eids on this day. One cannot stand without the other, so that His beautiful work for you may be completed, and He may place you upon the path of His guidance, and you may follow the traces of those illuminated by the light of His direction. He leads you through the path of His purpose and provides you with His wholesome support. Thus, He made Friday a gathering He called for, to purify what preceded it and wash away what evil gains have incurred, from one [Friday] to the next—a persistence of good for the God-fearing, and a gift of reward and a remembrance for the believers The deeds performed on this day and its night are manifold compared to what He granted to the people of His obedience in the days before it.
