I asked the trustworthy Sheikh Abu al-Husayn Muhammad ibn Ali al-Jali—may Allah be pleased with him—regarding what was narrated by Sheikh Abu Abd Allah al-Husayn ibn Hamdan al-Khasibi—may Allah raise his rank—in his reports concerning the call of the Lord M (Al-Sayyid al-Mim)—Exalted is His Majesty—on the Day of Ghadir. He said: When the Lord Messenger—Exalted is His Majesty—called out on the day of Ghadir Khumm, proclaiming eloquently: "This is Ali, your Lord, so worship Him; and this is Ali, your Creator, so unify Him," everyone in the kingdom among the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth whose knowledge fell short of the Monotheism (Tawhid) of the Lord of the Worlds was agitated. Consequently, the people of Gnosis (Ma'rifa) increased in certainty, thanked Allah—Glorified and Exalted is He—and proclaimed His Oneness and Glory. As for those among the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth who denied the call, Allah transformed them (Maskh) into frogs and settled them in the "Sea of Air" in the lowest heaven from which water descends; He began to bring them down within the clouds to the earth, and they are croaking.

And that croaking of theirs is according to the glorification (Tasbih) they were once accustomed to. Allah set a seal upon the hearts of the deniers, so they forgot what they had heard regarding the Monotheism (Tawhid) of the Prince of the Believers—Exalted is His Majesty—and He caused to flow upon their hearts [only the words]: "Whomsoever I was his Master (Mawla), then Ali is his Master."
