Mention of the Day of Eid al-Ghadir

And God Almighty mentioned it in His Mighty Book, as His Majesty said: {O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people} 1 .

Thereupon, the Messenger of God, His Majesty, turned to the 'Aqtab'2 , gathered them, and addressed the people while he was at Ghadir Khumm, peace be upon him and his progeny. He took hold of the arms of the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty, and raised him until the whiteness of the armpits of the Messenger of God, His Majesty, appeared, then he said: "Whomsoever I am his Mawla, Ali is his Mawla. O God, befriend those who befriend him, and oppose those who oppose him, support those who support him, and forsake those who forsake him." This is according to the narration of all the Muqassira Shi'a.

As for the narration of the People of Tawhid (Monotheism), they narrated his saying and verified it as: "Whomsoever I am his Mawla, Ali is his Meaning (Ma'na)." Thus, he demonstrated and clarified the Meaningness (Ma'nawiyya) of our Master, the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty, because it is a Day of Manifestation (Zuhur).
