The words of the Almighty: {Indeed, those who disbelieve—never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all, and those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein} 1 . He says: Whoever rejects his Creator and His Gnosis (Ma'rifa), neither his wealth nor his children shall benefit him against the punishment of God in any way; he shall be among those who traverse through metamorphosis (al-Masukhiyya), and its fuel is those being tormented within it.
[24] It was narrated on the authority of Humran ibn A'yan, that the Master al-Sadiq—exalted is His might—said regarding the words of the Almighty: {Every time their skins are roasted through, We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted in Might and Wise} 2 . Then he said: "Indeed, the 'skins' refer to the variation of forms within metamorphosis."
The words of the Almighty: {And they say, "Never will the Fire touch us, except for a few numbered days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant with Allah? For Allah will never break His covenant"} 3 .
