"The Introduction"

Praise be to God, for whose Essence (Dhat) there is no modality (Takyif), and for whose Action there is no alteration (Tasrif). Intellects do not innovate Him, and thoughts do not encompass Him. No preoccupation occupies Him, and the utmost limit of reaching the Truth does not attain Him. His Unseen (Ghayb) bewilders the minds, and His Being preceded the being of the Principles (al-Usul).

And may the blessings of God be upon His Name, the Chosen One (al-Mustafa) by His selection, the Purified by his ascension, the Internal (al-Batin) without a beginning, the Witness (al-Shahid) without an end, and the one favored by the Guardianship (al-Walaya). And [blessings be] upon the Gate (al-Bab), Salman, through whom the Knower (al-'Arif) seeks intercession, and upon the Five Noble Orphans (al-Aytam); a prayer that brings them close to Him and encompasses them in His presence. Verily, He is Bountiful, Generous, High (Ali), and Great.

To proceed: O knowing brothers, I inform you that a seeker among the brothers—may God protect them from the evil of every deceiver—asked about the transfer of this inverted creation into the metamorphosed forms (al-Masukhiyyat), their repetition in the distorted forms (al-Mushawwahat), and their entrenchment in the inanimate objects (al-Jamadat).
