[16] This is supported by what Abu 'Ali ibn Hammam narrated from his father, from his men, from Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Khalid al-Qammat, from Yunus ibn Zhabyan—peace be upon them all—who said: I said to my Master Abu 'Abd Allah—exalted is His might: "I have a neighbor who frequently harasses me and mocks me because of [my devotion to] you." He said to me 'God shall suffice you against his matter.'" He [Yunus] said: "A few days later, I was surprised by a camel passing by us, with tears flowing from its eyes. My Master said to me: 'This is your companion, O Yunus.' Then he extended his hand and placed it over my eyes, and by God, I saw him in the form of a human! I knew then that he was the neighbor who used to harass me; then he [the Master] returned him [to the sight of a camel]. After that, whenever I saw him on the road, I would remember him and laugh while he was a camel."
