However, the hearts of the inverted creation have become blind to its recognition out of antagonism toward the Truth and the piety that is too dear for them—until the command of God—Mighty and Majestic—is fulfilled. As the Almighty said: {...that those who perished [through disbelief] might perish upon a clear proof and those who lived [in faith] might live upon a clear proof} 1 . And He also said: {Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged} 2 .

There is nothing we have mentioned in this book of ours except that we have supported it with a narration, and most of the testimonies are from the Book of God—Mighty and Majestic. It has been transmitted from the Shaykhs—may God protect them and sanctify their souls—that there are one thousand and one hundred verses in the Qur'an that testify to Transmigration (al-Tanasukh). We have extracted them by the grace of God upon us, mentioned them all, and set them forth in our Large Book, of which this present book is an abridgment. We shall mention in this abridgment that which is suitable to mention, by the success granted by God Almighty and His knowledge. Among these is the saying of the Almighty: {Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example—that of a mosquito or what is above it} 3 , meaning: up to that which is larger than it among the temples of the metamorphosed beings (Hayakil al-Masukhiyyat).
