This [process continues] until they are made to know, then they declare the Oneness, then they become sincere, then they negate the attributes, then they believe in the conditions of God—the Mighty and Majestic—and His religion, then they ascend degree by degree. Good and evil are the lowest of what is returned, and Knowledge (al-Ma'rifa) is Paradise. So, whoever knows his Master has entered Paradise, though it consists of degrees; and it is the last of what is known of knowledge: the Knowledge of Oneness ('Ilm al-Tawhid), which is that which was borne and affirmed by him, and he is Muhammad. Whoever knows him has inhabited Paradise.

Then He commanded it [the light] to segment forms and segments; so they stood as segments and forms upon the spread light, worshipping God—the Mighty and Majestic—and never disobeying His command.

Footnotes
