If he responds in that first mold (Qalab) and knows his Creator (Bari’), His Name (Ism), and His Gate (Bab), he is transferred from that mold to the World of Purity ('Alam al-Safa'). This is because he has declared the Oneness of his Lord and bears no burden of injustices for which he is held accountable, nor sins that must be purged from him; thus, he becomes one of the Followers.

If he does not respond in that mold, he is repeated in human form. He continues to be repeated therein while his worldly state diminishes, and the Oneness is [continually] presented to him, until he becomes drowned in sins. This is because he is called while poor, called while rich, and called while in a middle state. Whenever he responds to the Oneness of God and knows his Creator, he is repeated in human form, remaining therein as a monotheist (Muwahhid) to his Creator.

His state in his religion increases, his knowledge increases, and his sins are purged; for he is on the path of trial, testing, and affliction through which his sins are cleansed. It is through this that the injustices against [fellow] servants are extracted from him, and he is held accountable for the injustices against his believing brothers.

[1] And that is from what was narrated on the authority of the Master Muhammad—exalted is His might—that he said: "Sins are three: two sins that God Almighty does not forgive, and a sin that is not reckoned with."
