He says: Let not those who disbelieved in Allah the Magnificent and denied His Oneness grieve you; for such a person shall enter the structures of metamorphosis (Hayakil al-Masukhiyyat) and remain therein. To Us is his destination, so We transfer (Nanqulehu) him, and he remains within them according to the measure of his disbelief and rebellion, in what he manifested of that and what he concealed.
[59] On the authority of Aban al-Basri, from Muhammad ibn Sadaqah, from al-Ala' ibn al-Husayn al-Asadi, who said: "I asked Muhammad ibn Sinan—peace be upon him—about the mastigure (al-Dabb), the monitor lizard (al-Waral), and the gecko (al-Wazagh) of the same species, except that the monitor lizard (al-Waral) is larger in size than the other two; it is a poisonous gecko-like creature, long-tailed, and swifter in movement than the mastigure (al-Dabb) and the gecko (al-Wazagh). He [Muhammad ibn Sinan] said: "All are one, for they are brothers; they are the First, the Second, and the Third—may Allah curse them. For this reason, the Master Muhammad—may His Might be exalted—made them brothers because they are in the same degree of metamorphosis (Masukhiyyah), just as the believers are in Paradise and bliss, as Allah—Mighty and Majestic—said: {And We will have removed whatever is within their breasts of resentment, [they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other} 1 ."
