O soul: If you wish to know the state of the soul after its departure from the body, then look at its state while it is still attached to it.

If it was in harmony with correctness, then after its departure from the body, its habit of correctness will lead it only toward radiance, a good end, and reward.

But if it was a companion to error, then its habit will lead it only toward more error; and error shall yield for it punishment, blindness, and an evil return. Understand this well.
