(133) It is narrated from Sulayman ibn Ja'far al-Ja'fari, peace be upon him, from our Master al-Rida, Mighty is His Might, that he said: "God created the soul of the believer from the light of His Veil, and created his physical form (haykal) from the clay of His mercy. Thus, his father is Light and his mother is Mercy. So beware of the insight of the believer, for he looks with the light of God from which he was created."

(134) By his chain of transmission from Jabir ibn Yazid al-Ju'fi, peace be upon him, who said: I said to my Master al-Sadiq, Mighty is His Might: "Sometimes I feel a grief that appears on my face without any cause or reason." My Master said: "O Jabir, God created the forms (hayakil) of the believers from the clay of the Gardens, and breathed into them from the spirit of His mercy. If a difficult matter befalls one of them due to a sin or a mistake he earned, the souls of the believers on earth grieve because of their proximity to him and their connection to him. Likewise, He created the bodies of the polytheists from the clay of Khabal (corruption), and they follow this same course."

(135) From Zayd ibn Khalifa, who said: My Master al-Sadiq, Mighty is His Might, said: "A believer may enter a village where there is only one other believer, and the soul of this one reaches the soul of that one, and the soul of that one reaches this one, until they meet."

(136) It is narrated from al-Mu'alla ibn Khunays, peace be upon him, by his chain of transmission from the Lord Messenger, Mighty is His Might, that he said: "God, Mighty and Majestic, says: 'I am at war with whoever debases My believing servant, and I am the swiftest to the aid of My friends. I have never hesitated in anything I do as I hesitate in the death of My believing servant; he hates death and I love to meet him, so I turn it away from him. He calls upon Me and I answer him; he asks of Me and I give to him. If there were but one believer among My servants in the world, I would have no need for all My creation, and I would create for him a company from his faith so that he would never feel lonely, nor seek company in any other.'"
