He replied: 'Rather, the non-Arab, due to the words of the Almighty: {And if We had revealed it to some of the non-Arabs ❁ And he had recited it to them, they would not have been believers in it}1. And the words of the Almighty: {And if We had made it a non-Arabic Quran, they would have said, "Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a non-Arabic [book] and an Arabic [messenger]?" Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and a healing." And those who do not believe - in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place}2. For the Quran was revealed in the language of the Arabs, yet the non-Arabs believed in it; and had it been revealed in the language of the non-Arabs, the Arabs would not have believed in it.'
"The Lord Messenger—exalted be his glory—said: 'If science were suspended at the Pleiades, a group from the sons of Persia would have attained it.' The Oneness of God was among the non-Arabs before the Arabs. Do you not know, O Abu Ya’qub, that Lu’ayy is the one who 'turned' (lawa) the lights from the Persians to the Arabs? That was not for a sin committed by the non-Arabs, nor for a wisdom established in the Arabs, nor for a need of the Master for that; but for an affair that preceded in His knowledge which must be completed and its proof established."
Yahya ibn Ma’in said: My Lord Abu Shu’ayb then refrained from speaking for the rest of that day. Ishaq sat with us until the time of our departure. When the next day came, I went early to the house of our Master al-Hasan—exalted be his glory—and informed Him of the news of Ishaq with Fadaweih. Our Master said: "By God, Ishaq is indeed Uthman, and Fadaweih is indeed Abu Dharr. Had Ishaq been able to exile Fadaweih from Samarra (Surra Man Ra’a), he would have done so and not let him stay. Lo, indeed Ishaq is a man who lies against Us, so do not accept his legal opinion."
