By his narration regarding the words of the Almighty: {Have you not considered your Lord—how He extends the shade? And if He willed, He could have made it still. Then We made the sun an indication for it}1. He said: "The Shade here is the manifestation of the Prince of Bees in human form; He is the Shade. The witness for that is the saying of Lord Musa—exalted be his glory: {Then he turned away to the shade}2—which is that Musa (who is the Name) returned to his Meaning in need of Him. The words 'of the shade' refer to His manifestation in Humanity for comfort (inasan). Meaning: {And if He willed, He could have made it still}—that is: had it not been for His will, He would not have appeared through that. {Then We made the sun an indication for it ❁ Then We withdraw it to Us a gradual withdrawal}3. This is the occultation and concealment. This is the address of Lord Muhammad to the Gate and those below him."

He related—may God grant him satisfaction—regarding His saying: {And We have certainly given you seven of the oft-repeated [verses] and the Great Quran}. He said: "This is the address of the Name to Zayd ibn Haritha. The 'seven oft-repeated' (al-mathani) are the seventeen Monbites (al-munabba’un). The 'Great Quran' is the recognition of the Veil in reality; he is the Quran."

Another aspect, which is more luminous and higher: the "seven oft-repeated" are the seven essential manifestations in which the Meaning appeared. This is the address of the Name to the Gate. His saying: "We have given you" means: We have made you recognize their reality, and that the Meaning never appeared in His Essence except through them. The "Great Quran" is Lord Mim.

He also related—may God be pleased with him—regarding the words of the Almighty: {Then We caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of God. That is the great favor}4.
