{He neither begets nor is born, ❁ Nor is there to Him any equivalent}1. He had no child, nor was He an originated thing in the inception of the affair or in the shadows. Rather, the Meaning appeared as One, a personage of light that is neither described nor limited. He has no interior such that He could be called 'hollow,' nothing is with Him such that it could be called His 'child,' and none was before Him such that they could be called His 'parent.' {Nor is there to Him any equivalent}.

An 'equivalent' (al-kufu’) is a peer according to the people of anthropomorphism and number, and those who strayed from the Truth and placed here Muhammad, Fatir, al-Hasan, al-Husayn, and al-Muhsin, making them equivalents and a single thing. He negated that of Himself and informed that He is the Unique (al-Fard) who has no rival, no likeness, and no peer. Indeed, there is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing. Then He originated His Beautiful Names, who are the outward of this Surah.

The first inward dimension of this Surah is Lord Muhammad for the Meaning, who is the Prince of Bees. That is because God—Glory be to Him—sanctified Him alone: there is none but God alone, the One (al-Ahad); His Single Name is Muhammad, and the Prince of Bees is his Meaning.

Then the Form originated the rest of the forms through the males, namely: al-Hasan, al-Husayn, Fatir, and Muhsin. Thus God is the One (al-Ahad); the Name is the Greatest Mim, being Single in the Call without a partner; God is the Eternal Refuge (al-Samad); al-Hasan does not beget, nor al-Husayn, and Fatir did not beget them; {Nor is there to Him any equivalent}. These names are the lineage of the Lord: {Say, "He is God, [who is] One"}, and God is his Meaning."
