{So do not attribute to God equals while you know}1. Its meaning: you know that in the world there are those who name themselves Amir Almuminin and say they are equals to Him, yet this Name is His alone and none other—exalted be his glory—is called by it.
{And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our servant, then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than God, if you should be truthful}2. This is the speech of the Name to the Monbite, and the address is directed at the Monbite.
Then He said: {But if you do not—and you will never be able to—then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers}3. Its meaning: if you do not obey the Monbite in what I say to him and deliver to him, then fear this punishment to which you shall become if you oppose God the Almighty as He said: {And as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood}4. And the words of the Sublime and Exalted: {Indeed, you and what you worship other than God are the fuel of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it}5. Whoever worshipped an idol shall be with it in the punishment and the frames of reincarnation. May God protect us from all of that by His grace and mercy.
